WHERE HAS OBAMA LED THE COUNTRY SO FAR APRIL: 2010

THE REPORT CARD FOR THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION:
1.His foreign policy is mostly a failure and a continuation of George Bush's failed policies. Afganistan, Pakistan, and of coruse Iraq continue to bleed the U.S. dry.The militaries gains in those countries are like sands shifting in the hour glass. Once the wind blows they are gone forever.
Because of Obama's indecisiveness Iran will soon become a member of the family of nations that have nuclear weapons capability. Iran's nuclear arms program is way past the point of being destroyed by an outside attack. So its proably a definate that Iran will soon have nuclear weapons. While the whole world is threatned by this its Russia and not Israel that is most in danger.
Obama's lone success foreign affairs is in easing tensions with Russia. Granted that is a big plus
2.Domestically Obama has given into big business. The United State will soon be dotted with nuclear energy plants and the exodus of jobs and industries leaving the United States wont be stopped soon even though Dr. Obama pledged to do so during the presidential campgain. Big busniness forced him to back off after he won the election. Yes health care passed but its so watered down its impossible for it to do any good. Obama's health care (Obamacare)wont stop the out of control spirling of health care costs

WHY LITTLE ANTONIO VEE DOENT HAVE TO RESIGN AS MAYOR OF LOS ANGELES

ALTHOUGH HIS POOR LEADERSHIP HAS RUINED THE CITY HIS PANTS ARE HELD UP BY THE REAL ESTATE DEVELOPERS. THEY OWN THE BALL PARK THE GAME IS PLAYED IN AND THEY PROTECT LITTLE ANTONIO.
The big real estate developers like Eli Broad and Philip Anschutz rigged the last election so Little Antonio could continue as mayor. Little Antonio is their front. They run the city through him. That is why the real estate developers raided the cities pension fund causing 4000 people to lose their jobs.
An investigation is needed to see if their was criminal wrong doing in the mayors office for letting these developers receive loans from the pension fund when they were putting the money into something so risky as a real estate development.
Unfortunatlly their projects went bad like the rest of economy and the city is now on the hook for the money.
The reason this hasnt been investigated is because Los Angeles is soft on corruption.

THE NEW GM WONT MAKE IT UNLESS.....

THERE IS DRAMATIC GROWTH IN THE ELECTRIC CAR MARKET:
Electric cars could take off and become something more than a fad. Oil prices are going up and could reach the $100 level which will increase demand for energy efficent vechicles. The Volt Gm's entry in the electric car market isnt as good a car as some of the other cars in the field because of poor batteries but could still be profitable if there is strong demand for electric cars. And as oil prices go up so could demand for electric cars. Gm needs a win here badly because there is nothing in there present car line up thats going to save the company. Gm's present crop of cars is piss poor.
Fords has almost completely taken the commercial truck market away from them. The quality of Gm trucks isnt good enough for use by bussinesses who demand a truck thats dependable and can go to work every day. Gm has become like Chrysler making trucks for the passenger non-commercial user. And that has to have hurt Gm which needs that market to be profitable.
THE NEW GM'S FUTURE ISNT A BRIGHT ONE: Gm must bring in new management to run the company. As the Detroit Times has been writing for a long time the people currently running Gm dont have the knowledge or talent to make the company a success. Phil Mertaugh should be the person running the company.
Gm associating with Mike Illich will hurt the companies image. Illich is a front for the Mafia. Gm should quickley wash their hands of him. Associating with Illitch is just another stupid decession made by the company.

SHOULD PLAYA VISTA BE EXPANDED

ALTHOUGH PLAYA VISTA IS A WELL PLANNED COMMUNITY AND AN EXAMPLE OF QUALITY ARCHITECTURE IT NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN BUILT:
Steve Soboroff Playa Vista's developer deserves a lot of credit for keeping his promise and building an attractive development. It is a well planned community and very appealing to the eye. People who live in Playa Vista enjoy living there. And yet it was a mistake to build it and an even bigger mistake to expand Playa Vista by developinig the wetlands that surrounds it.
The wetlands it was built on are needed more then ever in combating the drought conditions that currently exist in Los Angeles County and the rest of the southwest. Unfortunaltly much of the wetlands in the area are now gone and have been replaced with condos and appartments.
Many of those condos were purchaseed at the peak of the real estate market in California and have lost a lot of their market value. Since there isnt much of a market for residential real estate many of the units sit empty because its also difficult to rent them since their rents have been kept higher then what the market will bear.
So economically and enviromentally it dosent make sense to develop the land surrounding Playa Vista.
P.S. The Los Angeles City Counsel approved Soboroff's plan to develop the remaining wetlands. The City Counsel like most politicians in Los Angeles are owned and controlled by the real estate developers. And that is why the quality of life is declining so quickley in the L.A. area. Crime and taxes are up while wages and jobs are declining.
