THE ISSUE MEG WHITMAN WAS ON THE WRONG SIDE OF AND IT MAY HAVE COST HER THE ELECTION

THE IMMIGRATION ISSUE WAS MEGS UNDOING:
Her strong stand against the rights of illegal aliens proably cost her the Hispanic vote. When she ran against Steve Poizner his foolish remarks about Hispanic school childrens ability to learn made her like Snow White and a symbol of moderation and wisdom.
When she become the Republican candidate she was forced to take a stronger stand on immigration in order to hold on to the core base of the Republican party and that cost her votes among mainsteam voters.
Most people understand that illegal aliens are here to stay and that it would be unfair to start rounding up people who have been in the U.S. for years and start sending them back to a country that many left a long time ago.
Brown the old pro staked out the high ground early on and received the Hispanic vote in return and thus winning the election.
