THE LOS ANGELES TIMES COMPARES DUTCH REGAN AND OBAMA

THAT IS LIKE COMPARING APPLES AND ORANGES: There really is no comparison because they were in office in such different times. When Dutch was president he took over a country that was the richest most powerful nation in the world. There was plenty of public money to squander and steal.
Dr.Obama is President of country that looks like it just walked out of a prisoner of war camp. There isnt much left of it. He cant just spend his way out of trouble like Dutch did.
The L A Times points to the passage of Dr.Obama's financial reform legislation as a great achievment. It is really totally meaningless. The financial reform package is like someone going out and buying a fire alarm after their house burned down.
Obama's health care package maybe successful if it really does cut health care costs but its still way to early to call it a success.
Basically Dr.Obama has been a weak President and a poor decession maker.

THE MAGICAL MYSTICAL DR OBAMA THAT THE TRADE WINDS BLEW IN FROM PARADISE

THE TRADE WINDS HAD A LITLE HELP FROM BIG OIL AND THE MILITARY CONTRACTORS ALONG WITH WALL STREET:
Unfortuneatly the folks that vote didnt care about the last part and only wanted to hear about the part of the story where he was blown in from some exotic paradise.
So far Dr.Obama has been almost a complete failure as president. There isnt one thing that he has done that has worked.
He has proven almost as big a failure as George Bush as a military commander. U.S. armed forces have taken a beating at the hands of a bunch of ragtag Afgan tribesman under Obama's presidency. The caveat here is that the military contractors are a making a killing. That is fiancially of course. And that should be the important concern of every American since the contractors run the government. And the average American potlicker always looks out for the boss before himself. That is dedication. Some cynical people may call that stupidity.
Obamas foreign policy is a flop. Iran will soon have the bomb. And the Gulf of Mexica will be polluted for years because Dr. Obama didnt act fast enough.
And to top that off the American economy isnt responding to his stimulus package and could be headed for another bad downturn. Geneal Motors just came in second from last out of 15 car companies in a recent J.D.Powers survey. This is after receiving over 50billion from Dr.Obama.
So if Dr.Obama and his advisors cant figure out why Dr.Obama is so unpopulor all they have to do his ask themselves what has he done that has actually worked. They will have a tough time coming up with an answer for that.

REMEMBER THE HONEY BEES:THEY ARE STILL DYING

ALBERT EINSTEIN SAID THAT AFTER THE BEES ARE EXTENT HUMANS HAVE ABOUT FOUR YEARS LEFT:
Rachel Carson a marine biologist wrote a book (SILENT SPRING) in the early 1960's that warned about the dangers of the over use of pesticides.
A few years ago the media became alarmed about the decline of the honey bee population. No one could figure out what was happening. Why were the bees dying off so quickely? What secret killer was destroying the bee poplulation and threating the future of man kind.
Well the scientists have now figured the proable cause of what is causing the bee population to decline so rapidly. And it isnt an anwer the powerful agricorporations like or want to hear about. That is why it hasnt been publicized or talked about in the media to any great extent.
The problem is what Rachel Carson first wrote about almost fifty years ago and that is the over use of pesticides. While the pesticides dont kill the bees it weakens their immune system and ablity to fight off pathogens that once werent a threat to them.
The agibusiness and the big chemical companies that make pesticides arent very receptive to these new scientific findings.
So Einstein's theory about what will happen to the human race after the bees are gone maybe his most compelling one.

LOS ANGELES MAYOR LITTLE ANTONIO SHOULD GO BIKE RIDING MORE OFTEN

ITS GOOD FOR THE CITY:
Little Antonio's accident while riding his bike on the streets of Los Angeles shows how dangerous it is to go bike riding in LA or even walk across the street. Los Angeles just has too many cars driving on streets that werent designed for that much traffic.
What is the solution? Should the streets be widened even though it would ruin the city.
The city employees union has suggested that more tickets should given for minor infractions even though the police spend most of their time doing just that.
The real solution is a better tranportation system that includes more rail transportation. Their should be major subways down Wilshire,Santa Monica,Pico and Supelveda.
Their isnt any subways because they were blocked by powerful politicans like Zev Yaroslavsky whose Beverly Hills district didnt want Alevardo St. moving to Rodeo Dr.
The result is an antiquated outdated transportaion system that will inhibit economic growth in Los Angeles and make it harder to live in the city as Little Antonio discovered from his accident.
The positive is Little Antonio had to take break from ruining the city while he recoperated from his bike accident.

THE ECONOMY:WHATS NEXT?

THE ECONOMY IS STAGNET AND HEADED TOWARDS DEFLATION:
The first big mistake made in rescuing the financial system as The Detroit Times pointed out was in bailing out the banks instead of letting them fail and waiting until things bottomed out before helping them. But because the incomptents that caused the collapse werent forced out they are still calling the shots at the banks they caused to fail. Does that make sense?
Milton Freidman an economist whose theories were thought provoking but were never practical enough for use in the real world was the theorist behind Bernakes rescue plan that has now obviously gone no where.
Now if the economy fails again which is very likely there wont be a cavaliary to come to the rescue. The gunpowder was waisted on the first bailout.
So for the forseeable future there will be a weak econmoy.
DR.OBAMA LOOKS VERY PRESIDENTIAL: As student conucil president maybe but certainly not as a sitting U.S president. The American people are such potlickers for voting for him. They elected a kid whose a weak decesion maker.

GOVERNOR ARNIE THE PANZIE AND WHY HE FAILED SO BADLY RUNNING CALIFORNIA

GOV.ARNIE CALLS HIMSELF A GREAT SALESMAN:
And herein lies the cause of Arnies poor performance as Gov. Yes Arnie had absolutely no experience at all as an elected public office holder let alone running anything as large as Califonia's government before he became Governor.
But the real reason Arnie failed so badly as California's Governor was his interpretation of what is selling or salesmanship.
Yes Arnies career as a body builder and actor was proably due to his ability to sell himself to people in a position of power. But how he sold himself to these show biz powerbrokers and the salesmenship needed as governor are much different.
The salesmanship Arnie used as an up and coming show biz performer was simply to seduce the producer or power broker. In other words the pull down your pants and bend over selling technique was what he used to become a star.
However in politics a much different type of selling is required which Arnie just didnt have the kishkas for.
Persuading people in give and take negotations among his peers is where Arnie failed so badly. The state legistlator basically ignored Gov.Arnie these last eight years which left the state leaderless.
Consequently areas that needed attention such as transportaion,housing,helping busineses reduce government red tape or strengthening the states economy were largely neglected. However prison building was a big priority during Arnies reign as Governor.
Arnie's new idea is to put the growing number of poor people into concentration camps. This is a win win situation because the construction companies who build prisons and who are his major financial backers would make money and the poor would have a place to live.
Is it any wonder ther Terminator was elected Governor. Maybe we need more Panzies in government like Gov.Arnie and Dutch Reagan.
